Monkey Brother

Swingin in a tree or on a dance floor,
You sweep me off my feet
By rolling laughter
Or the flick of your wrist.

Infectious laughter follows you
As you take my hand,
And show me that life can be simple.
My amazement constantly stands

Cunning jokes, witty banter and serious calm,
These elements bring comfort and help.
Selfless and true, a run into the ocean
With a flip or two bring about child-like giggling.

A world of wonder and glee
Has been opened for me.
Through your eyes and thoughts,
I find my friendship caught.

Hooting, tickling, and even hugging,
It seems we have gone through an adoption.
You unlocked the child with me,
And showed me a new way to love.

Come on with me,
And let's dance, hop, and laugh.
We may even find a tree,
So we can swing and be free.
